National Teachers’ Day in the Ukrainian School in Warsaw

Today we celebrate Teachers’ Day in Poland. On top of appreciating teachers, this is a great opportunity to remind about the work of the Educational Center Children of Ukraine Foundation, with which we cooperate together with Osborne Clarke – Poland and our friends from EUCON Legal Group.

The foundation was established by teachers from Kharkov: Olesya Kovalchuk and Natalia Voloshko. They set up a primary school and a music school in Warsaw: 130 children study there following the Ukrainian curriculum. Ukrainian teachers in Warsaw found jobs in these institutions.

The school works to provide educational opportunities to children who have been forced to leave home and found shelter in Poland. We believe the goal is extremely important, which is why we have created a scholarship program that will be available to 30 children this year.

The school is still collecting funds for ongoing operations and further development: opening a kindergarten for 60 children and opening a second school in Warsaw for 300 children.

If you would like to financially support the Ukrainian school in Warsaw, a donation will be much appreciated: link

The Educational Center for Children of Ukraine Foundation was established to provide educational opportunities to Ukrainian children who were forced to leave their homeland due to the war and found shelter in Poland. It focuses on creating educational outlets for children where they can get a good quality education by learning their native language, practicing sports, getting to know art, communicating with friends in their native language, exploring the history and culture of Ukraine. Thanks to the activities of the Ukrainian school, children will not lose their Ukrainian identity and cultural traditions.
