MDDP advised Ghelamco on the sale of The Warsaw Hub hotel tower

MDDP has advised to Ghelamco in the sale of the Warsaw skyscraper within The Warsaw Hub complex, housing the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Express Inn hotels, to the French fund Corum XL.

This constitutes the sale of the third and final building from Ghelamco’s portfolio within The Warsaw Hub complex. The transaction stands among the largest that occurred in the Polish real estate market this year.

In March 2022, MDDP advised Ghelamco on the sale of the remaining two towers within The Warsaw Hub complex to the corporation Google for a record-breaking sum of 580 million euros in the Polish office real estate market. This marked the largest single transaction in the office real estate market, not only in Poland but also across the entire Central and Eastern European region.

The Warsaw Hub is a multifunctional complex of skyscrapers situated near Daszyńskiego roundabout. It comprises three buildings: an 86-meter hotel building, two 130-meter office towers interconnected by a common podium, and a commercial passage.

During the sale process, Ghelamco was advised by the MDDP team of experts including Paweł Mazurkiewicz, Katarzyna Kozakowska, Anna Wnuczek. The scope of services provided by MDDP experts included comprehensive tax advisory, including advice on drafting agreements related to the transaction and application for tax ruling.
